Experiencing very poor customer service from Virgin Media I cancelled my contract (after 12 years) and replaced it with this Freeview box and a new ISP. I've had Humax boxes in the past before I joined VM and found them reliable and easy to use so it wasn't a hard decision to make to buy another. Despite being refurbished the machine looks new and all the cables and manuals are included, as is a two year warranty (on registration). The recorder is extremely good although not everything seems to be clearly explained in the included manuals - basic functions are intuitive but some experimentation reveals extra options. It immediately connected to my router wirelessly as soon as I entered the password (Humax recommend using a cable but the router is within 500mm of the Humax - one less cable) and the extra services became available. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase My new ISP is charging me £30/ month compared with £76/month for Virgin Media so the savings will pay for the Humax in less than four months and then I'm saving £45/month for almost all the same TV channels. And the new ISP's customer service is first class.

The recorder when arrived looked bran new. It appeared to have all the original wrapping. Extremely impressed with this purchase. Don't think I'll buy new again

My previous Humax PVR-9200T had a feature that allowed on the guide section the ability to select differing types of programs i.e. Films which are listed in channel/date order. This is my only concern with my recent purchase. Other than that very happy with my purchase.

It's very good but I think maybe next time I would rather buy a new one , because I had some problems with the aerial side of the recorder when I record a program it doesn't seem to record properly

I was replacing an old Sony recorder and was pleasantly surprised at how far Freeview had progressed. The Humax does everything and more than I need and best of all very easy to program
