“Much more compact and faster to load than the previous model. Great picture quality. The downsides are a worsening of the interface for the sake of sacrificing a couple of buttons on the remote, as well as a requirement of the Humax to be on in order for the signal to pass through the TV. Wasn't the case with the previous model.”
“Lots of wonderful features on this machine, maybe just a few too many for these old brain cells to master but the ones I can use are good. Pity there is no clock on the front nor any lights showing what is or might be happening like our old Humax had.”
“I read up about this box a lot before actually buying it and when it arrived I have to say that I have been disappointed. The read up and the events say turn your TV into a smart TV.....no it doesn't. It gives a few pointless apps but doesn't all9w browsing or app install. Secondly it says watch live TV or recordings anytime anywhere........wrong.....anytime anywhere as long as your on the same network, I can access it when away from home, also if I am away and I see a program just starting on TV I can't send the signal to record it from my mobile because if the program has started then it is to late to record.......it has to be at least 15 minutes before the program is due to start or it doesn't accept the request. Finally, if I want to cast from my tablet or phone I have to fork out another £80 for the extra box so everything I have read (and the main reasons I bought this box) are not available on this item.
It does have a good quality picture and does work well as a freeview sto but it is a little slow when doing anything.
I should have saved my money and bought a cheaper item and a chromecast.”
“Very poor interface, lots of wasted space, too many clicks to get where you want to go, some info incomprehensible (Korean English), not at all intuitive.”
