“Having previously owned a Humax Foxsat Freesat PVR I can honestly say that this piece of kit is in many ways no improvement on the Foxsat. For example as this new machine sits on the glass shelf beneath the TV it’s looks dead- no clock-no indication of anything recording or set-just a black plastic box.
I would say that the EPG is prettier but no better and whilst the addition of Wi-Fi capability is very useful for me this new set-top box is at this time rather disappointing- oh yes how does the brain of this machine come up with a message that ‘as you have not used this box for 3 hrs it is going into Power Save Mode(when it has been on being used for 4 + hrs)?
So now I’m logging all issues as they arise and wonder how long it will be before I need to ask for a replacement.”
“Humax are without doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with, in over 60 years.
The products are unreliable and fail after a short period of time.
Humax know full well the shortcomings of the products, yet fail to do anything about them, making millions in the process.
They are “Not Fit For Purpose”.
The customer service department are rude, unhelpful and just don’t want to know, they have also told me numerous lies.
I wouldn’t purchase a Humax product if it help save my life!!
DO NOT PURCHASE A HUMAX PRODUCT, PURCHASE A COMPETITORS.
I hope Humax go out of business.”
“This TV recorder is the 2nd one, the first is very old but still upstairs and working. This current recorder is as good as my first one if not better. They are very well made and work perfectly for 10 years or more. I wouldn't buy any other make.”
