“It works fine, but the user interface is not as good as my previous Humax (a Foxstat).
1. You have to jump through hoops to get to the 'favourite' stations
2. Planned recording don't drop off like they used to, so you constantly have to delete the planned recordings from months ago.
3. You can't create folders for recordings, for example, on the old Foxstat I could create 'Movies', 'Documentaries', 'Dramas' folders etc....and place the recordings into their respective folders. You can no longer do that.
4. You can't adjust planned recordings to start or end a minute or two sooner or later. This results in many 'conflicts' when programmed recordings run contiguously (you could do this on the old Foxstat).
5. You can't copy recordings onto a USB stick like you could before.
You would think the user interface would evolve and improve over time, but instead it has got worse.”
“In my opinion the picture quality of the HDR-1100S is so much better than the latest Freesat boxes. Purchase and delivery was very efficient. My only regret is that Humax are currently out of stock and I would like to purchase another one!”
“Installed without issues on 3rd January 2020 day before SkyQ is switched off. Only two 'negative' points: 1. The on/off/standby light is on underside of unit at front - cannot see easily. 2. The unit seems to take awhile (say 45 seconds) to operate when switch on.
However, I'm sure we will get used to these minor points as time goes on.
Otherwise very impressed.”
