The recorder is a lot better than my previous model. However the recorder often ' freezes' and I have to switch off the supply to the recorder and switch back on to clear the fault. This seems to overcome this problem. If it persists, I will send it back for you to rectify.

Excellent piece of kit. Effectively unlimited recording time. Extremely easy to set up and to use. It's a bit weird having the power light underneath and I don't quite understand why they put it there, but this is a very minor point.

I only bought this because Humax did not want to repair my ONLY 3 yr old box. The navigation is not as good as my previous one, you have to go from right to left, up, down before being able to play the program. The previous one was grouping the multiple episodes at the top, in alphabetical order and the one offs below. presentation in tiles in this one is not as convenient as my old list and I do not need a small picture that take valuable space . Its redeeming features are a large capacity and possibility of record 4 programs at the same time.

We found setting up our Humax very simple - the handset is well laid out and as we have had a Humax previously it was not a difficult transition. GREAT recorder we would strongly recommend one especially with a 2TB hard drive. Go out and invest in one instead of Sky. Trevor Downs - Madeley

Absolutely delighted with this, easy to set up and packed with everything you need for TV entertainment. Beautifully made too - a desirable piece of kit. Cannot rate this highly enough

It records four Channels, that is the only thing I can say in its favour. Programming I find slow and clunky, retrieving recorded programs is a pain. Instead of a list of recorded programmes it has mini pictures all over the screen which you have to scroll through to each with a little caption below it giving the number of recorded episodes. When you you find the picture appertaining to the programm you want when you click on the picture you then have to sort through a list of dates to get episode you want. When playing back the fifteen second jog to fast forward through adverts is no longer there so you have to press fast forward then press the play button to continue which is a pain. When programming to record, the program guide comes over the actual screen of the live programme instead of putting the live programme up to top left like the old Fox T2 did. All in all I still prefer my old Fox T2 which was far more user friendly and I now have connected up to run alongside this new machine. Even that is a problem as Humax have used the same remote control signals for both units so they now interfere with each other unless I switch one off completly. Humax customer service is also now rubbish. When I bought the unit last November I E-Mailed a query about it and am still waiting for a reply. To sum up, yes it works, it records four channels, but I don't like it and would not really recommend it.

Wonderful features but has become unreliable, some kind of intermittent connection on aerial input socket. Very frustrating !

Absolutely delighted with our recent purchase. Bought to replace our previous Sky Q box due to not enough subtitling to suit our needs, the Nero is great. Easy to use and looks good too
