Humax HDR-2000T 500GB Freeview HD Recorder Reviews

3.9 Rating 34 Reviews
Does what it says on the tin, it's easy to set up and has a nice modern box. I would recommend you don't use the power-save option as this will shut the box down all too frequently and it does take time to restart.

If you could take more care to write intelligent instructions in good English I might give this product a better rating. I suggest you approach an instrument savvy person to teach your writere show to do this.

I have used a Humax for years but when my old one packed up I ordered the new 2000T. Unfortunately it had a noisy hard drive which distracted me so returned it.

We find this equipment to be noisy, slow and somewhat complicated to use. Many functions are no doubt wasted as not easy to interpret. We would not recommend to others.

This is the second Humax I have had. I can't believe how much this machine has improved since I had my first one several years go

I have used Humax recorders for many years and have found them to be very reliable and their operational features excellent. I bought the HDR-2000T to replace an HDR FOX T2 which is still working well after 6years daily use. The 2000T is a good machine and offers the same features as before but does offer an improved picture quality over my “ageing” FOX T2. The only critisism I can make is that the hard drive of the 2000T is a bit noisy in operation, which may be a result of internal mounting insulation. Overall, I would highly recommend Humax to anyone.

What a disappointment The first machine I purchased was from a retail outlet. The hard disk was very noisy and could be heard over the speech. I contacted Humax support who were very helpful and assured me this was not normal. As the retailer I purchased from did not have more stock I returned the Machine and purchased direct from Humax. The first machine that arrived had no hard disk functions at all. This was replaced. The second machine intermittently failed to find the hard disk at start up. When it did start the hard disk was a noisy as the first machine. The machine has some nice features and graphics but is let down by unreliability and a noisy hard disk
