“I was forced to buy a new SatBox as the original would no longer allow iPlayer and was sulking about the remote control. Blame the BBC about iPlayer not the manufacturer, someone told me. I have nothing but good to say about the box. Not just because of its quality, but of what it now does. Humax, I hope you read these, as all of your marketing fails terribly in promoting how immensely different the features and on-line access has improved, and, more importantly, how it's on demand features are like a mini-Apple tv. Yes, it is that good. Our old Humax HD box could do iPlayer via Red Button access, and so to be confronted with a near smart tv multiple choice was stunning. It is a smart box too, it asks if you would prefer to watch a programme in HD if you are on its SD equivalent. The volume level changes between HD and SD are now balanced, and the interactive remote control via iPad or smartphone is phenomenal. So, if, like me you sucked in breath at the new price, it truly is worth every penny. It's the marketing that fails to explain why it's more money than expected. Doubts? None. Recommended, without hesitation. Did I mention that you can patch in a typical external USB external Hard disc and then use it as a PVR? Oh yes! Not found the Do the Washing button yet!”

“Easy to set up. Delivers a very sharp crisp picture. Only downside is the length of time it takes to initialse and start up. Overall it is good value for money.”
