Originally designed to comply with British knife laws, the Spyderco UK Penknife has developed a cult following among pocketknife enthusiasts worldwide.
The original SLIPIT model, it combines one-hand opening via the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole with the convenience and accessibility of clip carry.
The Spyderco UK Penknife Lightweight Dark Blue CPM SPY27 showcases a full-flat-ground blade crafted from CPM SPY27, a cobalt-enriched particle metallurgy stainless steel developed specifically for Spyderco.
The blade is complemented by fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales moulded in a distinctive cobalt blue that is one of the signature colours of the family of knives featuring this proprietary steel.

The UKPK is one of my favourite knives. Super light with a great blade. I have the Para3 LW in SPY27 which I love, so getting this as my everyday knife was a no-brainer. It's a great EDC steel..super easy/quick to sharpen on my Lansky C-sharp..easy to look after and holds an edge well. I put Ti scales on it, but removed them as the weight went from 49g to 90g, defeating one of the UKPK's best qualities..it's unnoticeable in the pocket.

On its own the lightweight UKPK with SPY27 blade is..................... superb. As it says it's light as a feather and the blade, well the blade. As usual cut cardboard, cable ties, garden string and various other household items and I can say hand on heart it is the best steel I have ever used. Beautiful, silky cut and not even a sniff of a resharpen, think it will be a long time before that's necessary. Lovely and light with the scales it came with but I swapped them out for Titechs titanium ones. A bit fiddly at first but all done in 30 mins. Scales are super fit and finish and add a bit of gravitas to the wonderful blade and the whole package now looks well high end.A little bit pricey all in but I think we'll worth it and if you want to save a couple of pounds there are less expensive UKPKs from Spyderco which are still excellent for the price.Happy Christmas and a great New Year to all at Heinnie Haynes and all your customers.Paul.
