The Boker Plus Sprocket, designed by Henning Marxen is quite literally a folding knife with a twist. This unique knife pairs clean lines and minimalist design with a new and creative opening mechanism. Embodying the synergy of gears in a well-oiled machine, the Sprocket opens on two neatly crafted quarter cogs shaped into the base of the blade and the G10 handle.
Crafted with a D2 cleaver shaped blade sporting a puristic stonewash finish, the Sprocket offers smooth opening, facilitated by a large thumb hole. The creative detent-slipjoint mechanism makes this a UK legal carry that has a firm and tactile 'click' in and out of the open position without locking.
The Sprocket's most striking attribute is its double-joint design with a two-piece handle. This unique construction allows the blade to fold perfectly in on itself, transforming the chunky cleaver shaped blade into a compact and portable carry.

Great little design and a wickedly sharp bit of D2 steel that fits neatly in the fifth pocket. Lack of a scale on one side of the blade when folded made me a little nervous at first, but you quickly realise where not to put your fingers when closing it.!The liner is solid, the G10 feels very similar to the peel ply G10 on my Spyderco PM2 - good quality. Quite a few screws, but better than a pinned construction - everything staying tight at the moment but the ability to adjust later is appreciated. The way it folds out on the dual pivots really maximises the length while opened yet keeps the whole thing really pocketable when closed. The ratchets work well, and it feels secure in the hand; it would be extremely difficult to get the blade to fold in and bite you in use. Best thing is with it being non-locking and a small blade, it's really inoffensive but extremely effective as a cutting and slicing tool, so for the EDC nature as well as performance, it's a definite five star item - recommended!

Yep it's definitely quirky but in a good way I've been carrying it in my fifth pocket and it's so unobtrusive I forgot it was there and it went through a full cycle wash with no problems I put a drop or two of fine oil on moving parts and it's working perfectly and very clean too.buy one as a fifth pocket carry you won't be disappointed.

Boker plus knives continually amaze me. Great materials. Attention to detail. Superb fit and finish. The sprocket is no exception to this. All 5 fingers of fit perfectly. When resting the thumb on the jimping it feels solid in the hand. Easy to open and close one handed. Very sharp. Yet another piece of brilliance from boker plus.

There is only one YouTube review of this knife. It's great to see some innovation in non locking UK friendly market. It's definitely not a gimmick, rather a safe to use mini chopper, handy for many tasks in at home, in the city, and the outdoors.

Excellent knife, with an unusual action. It may look a bit like a cheese knife but I certainly would not like to get food in the gears of this folder. Excellent comfortable grip with ones thumb on the spine or along side the blade but not with ones index finger along the spine of the blade. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.
