Hello Pauline, Thank you for your review and for your feedback. It's good that you have been using the repellent every time you go walking with your dog. I'm glad that you also like the fragrance. As you mentioned it is a repellent but if used daily and the environment is also treated it should also kill any fleas present. It does this through 1. Dehydration: It gradually dries them out 2. Disrupting Their Pheromones: Which disrupts their ability to navigate, mate, searching for food, as well as to regulate bodily functions. 3. Dissolves Them: Insects in earlier life stages—eggs, larvae, pupae—are extremely vulnerable, so vulnerable in fact that cedarwood oil can dissolve them on contact. In adult insects it gradually penetrate their shell. 4. Emulsification: breaking down fat particles. 5. Suffocation: the cedarwood oil can interfere with bugs' capacity to breathe. As a result, they are unable to function properly and soon die. Since this is a natural product rather than a chemical spray, the effects may not be immediate. It’s important to remain diligent by checking your dog after walks and during grooming. If the odd flea is spotted, it’s also crucial to treat your environment to break the life cycle of it them becoming a problem, as it can take many weeks to break the life cycle of the flea. So think about treating the environment if you aren't already doing so. Hope this helps and enjoy your walks in the countryside! regards Healthful Pets.

Recommended by a fellow animal lover, this product should be in every dog and cat home across the world. It is non toxic, smells fabulous and does what it claims to do. My Jack Russell is even happy for me to rub it on his fur. We used it when the first flea was found and it prevented an outbreak immediately. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is such a relief to find such a user friendly, affordable product that means the threat of fleas or ticks is no longer feared. Tell everyone you know and always have it in your cupboard.

Desperate to find a new natural anti-flea treatment for my dogs after my original one failed us after 5 years. Very pleased with Cedarcide. It has definitely made a difference and I like the scent - spaniel not quite so enthusiastic! Happy to recommend it.

We're still in the early weeks of using the Cedarcide spray but so far I have definitely seen a reduction in ticks. We live in the Highlands so probably one of the highest population of ticks in the UK. I normally find myself pulling them out from my dog a few times a week. I have found a few but also noticed that I am finding them crawling on her rather than being attached which I have never done so before so perhaps the ticks are not enjoying the oils on her coat. The Cedar itself smells quite pleasant - it's strong so the dogs nose isn't so keen on it but she is getting used to it. The spray bottle is quite useless unfortunately so I have decantered the liquid into a better spray bottle which enables a fine spray over the coat. I then spray on my hands and gently rub this over her ears and face to avoid her eyes and mouth. I can then rub the rest on my own face and over my hands as it's great for keeping the midges away too. All in all, really happy with product and it's good to be heading in the right direction as we've been battling the ticks for few years now. I would recommend and will by buying again. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you've already noticed a reduction in ticks, especially living in the Highlands where ticks can be so prolific. It’s great to know the cedar oil seems to be keeping them from attaching to your dog. Thankyou also for your feedback about the bottle itself. We have had feedback from a couple of customers who have experienced dripping down the outside of the bottle. To minimise this, we’ve advised that it is best to hold the bottle vertically when spraying and also to squirt once at a time, rather than repeatedly squirting, which can make it worse. If there is any slight residue, it can either be massaged onto the dog or yourself as you are doing or put on a bandana to use around your dogs neck. It' good to hear that you have found your own solution that works 😊 It’s wonderful that the product is helping with midges for both you and your dog. We really appreciate your recommendation and are happy the product is making a difference in your battle with ticks. Thank you for your support!
