“Very prompt and helpful delivery, the meadow mix is good, however, some turfs were very patchy and the thicknesses were not consistent, some very thin and some very thick, which made laying tricky, most of the corn flowers were snapped/broken, would have been 5 stars if not for this. The meadowturf has only been down for one week, but has already started to perk up with many flowers coming out”

“Had the Birds & Bees turf laid end of Feb. It was, of course, after the floods and the turf was extremely wet and looked a bit like the end of the Glastonbury Festival for a few days! Soon started to fluff up though and has been looking lovely for several weeks now. Flowers come through in waves. First of all it was the daisies and the buttercups, then pink campion, sorrel and ragged robin (loads of this and much loved by the smaller bumble bees); then birds foot trefoil and red and white clovers. Still loads more to come through. Very pleased.”

“We are absolutely thrilled with our birds and bees meadow mat. It arrived on time and the flowers perked up the next day. After three weeks we have a beautiful looking meadow with new flowers coming out all the time. I would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to seeing it develop. It is attracting lots of bees and butterflies. Definitely worth the money and very easy to lay”

“I bought this turf just over a couple of weeks ago and basically followed the instructions to the letter when it arrived. I rolled it out and put it down instantly and then watered it daily for almost two weeks. Within a day everything stood to attention that had been flattened during transit and then gradually things have started to grow and flower. Currently I'm seeing daisies, dandelions, buttercups, a white campion and then either forget-me-nots or chicory coming through. I planted it next to quite an established tree and the previous occupant had put down weed-membrane and left it, which meant clearing the area was a little easier for me than it would have been. Also, I imagine the soil beneath was quite nutrient-poor. Some of the area had large roots running across it so I'll see how I fare there, but the meadowmat looks great so far. I'm expecting to see more and more flowers as the summer moves on. It's great for a casual (twice a year!) gardener like myself.”
