“Very impressed by the sedum mats. Very easy and quick to install, deliveries can be planned to suit weather and the result is instant. Two weeks on and the roof is looking brilliant and blooming. The major work is making sure your roof is reinforced, membrane installed properly and suitable trims. Using a butyl membrane the lives of my roofs have been extended for years beyond their original life and hopefully this whole system is proving to be a good investment for the future. Big thumbs up”

“Extremely poor customer services experience. We have emailed turf online about this and they haven't even bothered to reply. The first time we rung up with a few questions we were, less than helpfully, referred to the website to find out answers to our questions (we informed the lady we had done but could not find the answers we needed which is why we called). The second time was just after we had taken receipt of the sedum as we could not find the black, waterproof membrane. We telephoned to ask if it was definitely here and asked if it would be in amongst the sedum but were definitively told that the sedum is a new product and the waterproof membrane had now been incorporated in all the layers under the sedum and therefore we did not need a separate waterproof membrane. Because of that, we proceeded to lay almost half of the sedum (very heavy and very strenuous going up 2 ladders onto the roof and took 4 people a couple of hours on a very hot day). When we started moving the sedum off the second pallet, we found the waterproof membrane under the top layer of sedum!!!! Needless to say, we had to undo all the work and start again - which took up a large amount of time and energy. Clearly, the lady we spoke to that morning was just making stuff up or is completely misinformed! It would also have been helpful to have had a sheet of paper on the top of the sedum or noted on the delivery notice that the waterproof membrane is under the sedum on pallet number X. If the membrane hadn't have been there for some reason, we would have, unknowingly, laid the sedum straight onto our roof without waterproofing it. To be honest, we were furious and disgusted that we were told something that wasted so much of our time and energy and feel it was a very poor service in this respect. However, the sedum itself and the system it's layered upon is wonderful and we love it. It's just a shame that this part of the company has been totally let down by customer services.”
