“Used these poles on a few 40+km runs now and really pleased with them. First set of poles so can't compare them to anything else. Very light, so much so that I often end up carrying both collapsed poles in one hand rather than faff about attaching them to my pack. Easy to assemble and disassemble while running. Straps work well and the length adjustment doesn't slip. Nice design colour wise. Only mild criticisms are that in the rain it is difficult to slide the pole section out of the handle. There is not much to grip on with wet hands. Something more grippy on the end of that section would make this easier. 4* because of this. Secondly, in soft ground the tip can stick in the ground so when you go to pull it out while running, it stays stuck with the inner elastic stretching instead, then it suddenly pops out and the elastic snaps back. If you use less stretchy elastic then it will be harder to assemble the poles. Doesn't cause a functional issue, just a slight annoyance.”

“I bought these poles following reviews I’d read online. I’m upping my mileage in ultra running and had a 70k event in mind in which to use these poles. Sizing charts were used. My question was speedily answered by Harrier as I fell between sizes. Ordering was easy. There was also plenty of support material out there on their correct usage. I ordered as a pre-order and was kept fully informed about expected delivery dates. Upon receipt I followed the available advice and practiced a little with the poles. All good. They are sturdy when fully extended, lightweight and pack away very neatly, particularly for me having the Harrier 10 litre race vest. There are loops to attach the poles to on the back of the vest. The 70k ultra I mentioned had plenty of uphill and downhill sections. Unfortunately, on the first uphill, the button on one of the poles would not lock in position. I tried a number of times, but without success. I climbed the first hill with one pole. After a bit of teasing, I managed to get the button to spring from its housing. Still not sure how. Thereafter, no issues as the pole was pretty much constantly fully extended. After the event, I reported the issue to Harrier. This is some 5-6 months after purchase. This is where I think you judge a good company from the “also rans”……..pardon the pun…..I got an immediate response from Harrier saying that I could return the pole, as they wanted to investigate the issue. I ended up returning both as I wasn’t sure which pole was the problem one. Free postage for returns and pretty straight forward to arrange. Harrier offered either a replacement or money back. I opted for replacement as other than the issue encountered, I find these very good poles, and will, I think, be useful for me going forward. So in short, five stars from me as very happy with the poles I now have and also the excellent customer service I received from Harrier.”
