I have the Harrier Helvellyn poles. I found that there is not enough weight at the bottom to create the pendulum motion and in any wind I had to force the poles forward. The lightness of the poles mean that when running and its even slightly windy the poles get blown across your direction of travel and often got tangled in my feet. The discs at the bottom are ok however IMO if they had an extra groove that could attach to the main pole/handle that would make carrying much easier. The draw cird and handles were ok. I'm 6"2 large frame and large hands so worked fine for me. 1 gem I did find is the velcro strapping that came with the poles. I've managed to use that when folding the poles up when I'm running but not needing the poles for a long period. Overall 3 Stars. Easy to use they are light if you could buy a weighted point or disc for the price a good choice.⁸

Never used poles before but having completed the LiAD Race when a friend did use them, I read up on the benefits all seemed logical so started looking for poles the reviews of the Harrier Poles were very good. Given I'd stomped the area they are named after seemed like they were the poles for me and having just been out with them can say what a difference they make, took them up North Barrule at home which normally lets the calves and hamstrings know they've had a work-out but felt so much fresher at the top. If you are doing lots of climbing these fella's seem to give a big benefit, light and easy to store. Whilst you get a bag to store them in one suggestion would be quiver that can fit to race kit, managed to use the bungies loop the straps around my race vest so were snug and easy to access.

Have yet to try to use the Hevellyn poles on an actual trail run just yet - but have tried it out, and it is built well. Can't wait to try them on tougher trails! Amazing value for money.

We'd had other makes of poles for a while and to be honest very rarely used them - too heavy and big. Then a foot injury in the lead up to a walking holiday in the High Tatras in Slovakia suddenly made poles a priority and we ordered a set for both me and my wife. The days are long and the terrain very rugged in the Tatras and the poles performed perfectly. So pleased with how small they are when folded - now risk of them getting in the way when they were stowed for scrambling with the chains and via ferrata. The poles didn't put a foot wrong all week and I am now a convert :-).
