I got to put these through their paces on a medium run this last weekend. Doing around 1,600ft I felt this was a great chance to try them out. Wow what a difference. Love that these quickly collapse into a third the size. The mechanism to get them back into working poles is quite clever and quick to assemble too. They feel really sturdy, but extremely light. Lots of thought has gone into the design and quality. However, the price is very reasonable. I have compared these to some cheaper aluminium poles and the quality, weight and assembly is far superior in the harrier poles. Very pleased. Another great Harrier product. Well done Kate.

Can only say how impressed for the cost these poles are! Well made and worth twice the money! And a small uk business doing things right. Thank you!

I had two reasons to consider getting running poles. In the longer term, to help on the hills in certain ultras next year. Secondly, and more immediately, I had a recent experience where I found myself, due to niggles, having to walk for miles during a flat marathon; I had a flat ultra coming up a couple of weeks later and thought they could help propel me forward if the same happened again. I chose the Harriers because they were relatively light and cheap, and very adjustable. They arrived within a couple of days; I had a couple of questions and the company was very responsive through the Facebook page. After a couple of tests locally, I carried them on my flat ultra, and used them for the last 4 miles. The foam handles were very comfortable; the wrist loops worked nicely. I will probably play around with them a bit more, to be sure about the best height for me, but I was really pleased with them.
