First time using poles, tried out my new Helvellyn Poles in the Lakes today with my husband and they surpassed all expectations. Very light, easy to assemble and strong and sturdy. They make a huge difference on the climbs and will now be purchasing a 2nd set for my husband. We both agree they are a must for our upcoming Eiger E51 race.

The Helvellyn z carbon poles are great. I've bought them for many journeys I've an upcoming Beacons way 100 mile race so that's the main reason .On a recent 10 mile recce they were out the full run , my legs did feel better for a run the day following .I'm impressed how light and comfortable they feel with the grips and straps .There easy to set up on the go and fold away just as easy .

Amazing service. I received a super-helpful, quick response to a sizing query. The poles are really great quality and a got a nice buff thrown in as a gift. I will recommend and come back another time. :)

I used my Helvellyn poles for the first time a few days ago in the Sierra Nevada, Spain. I had studied the technique and instructional videos produced / recommended by Harrier beforehand, plus read the helpful comments on the Harrier ‘Pole Position’ Facebook page. So when I started off I just focused on technique. Got used to it fairly quickly and as the the terrain got more challenging and the heat more intense, I found the poles an absolute godsend. I needed fewer rest stops than my non pole walking friends and cracked on at a fair pace given the conditions. I finished 2 days of hard walking comfortably with no achey legs the day after. I’ve yet to use the poles for running and I haven’t yet needed to stow them away on the go, but I’ll be trying that soon. The Helvellyns are so light and well balanced that they feel like an extension of your arms. All the support and advice is amazing. Really recommend these poles and the Harrier friendly, professional service & support.

Having considered much more expensive options, I chose these due to the positive reviews and features. I haven’t had chance to use them yet, due to having covid, but the video on setting them up and getting started is excellent. The poles feel robust and good quality.
