These poles seem great and are ideal for my purposes. I'm travelling from Alaska to Argentina including hiking and trail running and therefore need folding poles. They are robust but relatively light. I didn't want to go for the more expensive carbon fibre poles due to the risks of loss/breakage.

Not tried them yet but feel light and fit nicely in the carry case. Easy to assemble once I’d got the hang of it (with help from Mary via WhatsApp!). Always great service from this company, highly recommend them.

I bought the Harrier Catbells poles to use on the Hardmoors 110 race. I used them throughout the final 50 miles from Roseberry Topping to the finish in Helmsley and they were fantastic. The Catbells poles are the aluminium option. They are cheaper than the carbon option. I was worried that going for the cheaper option might mean they felt heavy to carry, but this wasn’t the case at all, they are actually still extremely light and easy to store and carry in the back pack. There is a video advising you how to extend them to the correct height and the correct technique for use. I found this really helpful. Thanks Harrier another great product at an affordable price.

Only used a couple off times so far but very happy with them seem good quality and extremely easy to use on the go stepping up my running this year and attempting a ultra was on the fence regarding running poles but I can now definitely say there a great piece of running kit on harder and longer runs. Definitely help with the knees as a runner with permanent leg damage theses are great. can’t believe I didn’t get some earlier

Novice Pole User I can highly recommend these especially if like me they’re your 1st pair Easy to use and they fit perfectly on the back of the Curbar 5L Even with limited rotation in my shoulder I was able to easily access and replace them Great value for money

I've given a 5* rating because this equates to "very good" and that is what these poles are. The price is very competitive and I'm very happy with them. I do have a couple of very minor niggles with mine. First, the rubber tip on one pole does not push on quite as far as the other, which means the poles are very slightly different in length, but the difference is minimal and I can adjust them for this. Second, the mud baskets have a notch in them which is supposed to help with folding the poles neatly, but the notches are too small for this. These minor niggles would not stop me from buying the poles again. I don't know if the little velcro straps that were used to hold the folded poles in the packaging are intended for regular use, but if so, I found them a bit small and fiddly, so I use bigger straps normally used for skis. I also hope Kate might make snow baskets available for the poles in the future, perhaps as part of the spares kit that I bought.
