“I walk a bit over 1000 miles a year and these are my third pair of Grisport boots, but my first of this type, the Avenger Trekking boot. Previously I have had the Lady Glides..which I love but I wanted a pair of boots with a better inner membrane and these seem more substantial than the Lady Glide. Grisport boots seem to suit my feet and are very comfortable for me to wear,as I wear orthotic insoles and have Morton's Neuroma/ fat loss under my metatarsal heads. I have fairly narrow feet but need a boot wide enough for my insoles. I tried many pairs of far more expensive makes before returning to Grisport again.
I like the fact I can wear the boots straight from the box and be comfortable in them . The Avenger I've noticed is a slightly stiffer boot than the Lady Glide seems to have a stiffer cuff..but it's not rubbed, and I've walked about 50 miles in them over the past few weeks, but I know it's there. Given time I'm sure it will give and become softer.
So far the longest hike I have done in them is 10 miles, they were comfortable and supple to walk in, grippy enough and kept my feet warm and dry.
I would recommend them as they are a good quality boot for a very good price. I'm hoping they last but time will tell!”
