You sold this as a wide boot, it's horrific and crushed my toes and squashes my bunion !

This is my first pair of Thunder boots but probably my seventh or eighth pair of various Grisport boots. They seem well made and robust and I think they are definitely on the 'rugged' end of the spectrum. I'm very pleased with them. I bought my first pair of Grisport boots almost by accident as they were in a sale in a local outdoor shop. I found them to be so good that I've returned to the brand repeatedly and tried several styles over the years. I've never had a pair leak nor fail in any other way even though I keep them till they're literally worn out. Highly recommended.

I have the Crusader boot and wanted another with the Sympatex lining which I have found the most convincing in terms of water tightness and comfort. So the Thunder fitted the bill particularly with the current discount. This may not have the normal Grisport "straight out of the box" comfort, with the rigid sole and slightly stiff padded tongue I felt it needed a bit of breaking in. After a few days of use for dog walks I had warmed to it. I wear size 41 shoes but 42 boots, for the extra space around the toes. With a walking sock and a coolmax liner sock these boots are nice and cosy but not restrictive in any way. Very different to the wide fitting Crusader boot though. The leather appears to be of good quality, the padded leather tongue (now softened) and ankle hold the boot in place well. I am not aware of the rigid sole but I guess this would come into it's own on mixed terrain/scree or if you wanted to use crampons in winter. Overall very happy with this purchase and looking forward to several years of good wear.

Great pair of walking boots. I've just ordered a second pair as my first pair have reached the end of their life after a couple of years averaging about 8,000 steps a day.
