“This is a light cream which I use in the morning on it's own or under powder or tinted foundation. It suits my sensitive skin. I have rosacre problems at times.”

“Unfortunately my super sensitive skin didn't like this cream. I could almost feel after just one application I was going to have a reaction to it but I stuck with it for a few days. My face ended up red and hot and felt burnt. I've been able to stick with the cleanser I purchased and I'm not having any problems with this. It cleans my makeup off and feels nice on my skin. I dont know what the difference is in ingredients between the cream and the cleanser but it would be good to find out so I can avoid that ingredient in future...”

We are sorry to hear you have reacted to our Scent Free Light Day Moisturiser. Every individual is unique in their chemical and biological make-up, it is therefore impossible to create skin care products that are suitable for absolutely everybody. We select our product ingredients with great care, to minimize the potential for allergic reactions and sensitivities. Even natural ingredients can cause reactions and some people can be just as sensitive to them as to synthetic chemical ingredients. We have recently made a small change to this product. However, the only change was to the preservative system – we replaced the blend of Sorbic acid, Salicylic acid and Benzyl alcohol in a base of Glycerin to a combination of Gluconolactone and Sodium benzoate. The reason for this change was to remove the Benzyl alcohol which is classed as a fragrance material in some countries and which was preventing us from calling the product Scent Free. The old preservative system did have a slight almond-like aroma which tended to mask the underlying smells of the base oils and actives in this formula. The new preservative blend is odourless, which is allowing the smell of the base ingredients to be more prominent - as the majority of these are natural plant materials they can and do display seasonal variations meaning that the background odours do vary from batch to batch. We have not changed any of the other ingredients in this product, and it should be exactly the same in terms of performance. Likewise the viscosity should not be any different. It is therefore likely that you are reacting to the new preservative system. It may be that you have a cleanser with the old preservative system. It is worth checking the product to see the ingredients. Please use FREEPOST GREENPEOPLE to send the product back to us. This is a prepaid service with Royal Mail. We can then action a refund or exchange. If you still have the invoice, you will find a sticker with FREEPOST GREENPEOPLE on the bottom and a returns form on the reverse. If you do not still have this then you can just include a note regarding your situation and write FREEPOST GREENPEOPLE on the packaging you use to return the item. Do not include any other address information as the post office may charge you or it may not get back to us. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
