“Slugs figured them out within 3 nights, and have no trouble getting over them. Also they not very "green", as made of plastic. I know you're trying to reduce chemicals, but plastic not good for the planet either. I now have 5 big lumps of useless plastic, so regret my purchase.”

“These work well and will stop slugs eating seedlings and larger plants. But don’t let leaves from other plants touch the rings or the slugs can climb in.”

“I found these quite good, but nowhere near large enough to protect my established hostas, maybe they’d be ok for new plants. I ended up using them mostly on delphiniums as the collar diameter was about the right size for an upright plant like that.”
