Well, first time I've ever bought these - they're much tinier than I expected. My Apple tree was absolutely covered with aphids and I honestly didn't think these little fella's were man enough for the job. However they've done it - they really do have a veracious appetite and there's no sign of an aphid now!

Worked like a charm …. I now have a booming colony of ladybirds that are enjoying my plum tree aphid infestation…… Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Only saw 2 larvae and have not noticed any increase in ladybird numbers. Lot of black fly on my beans and greenfly on the roses.

After roughly dividing the little paper packing strips into five piles I put each pile into one of the supplied envelopes and, at the tree where the aphids were, inserted a leaf and pinned the envelopes into position at various points. Five days later I removed them and checked to see if there were any larvae still in them. There weren’t and now, a couple of weeks later, the honeydew problem is virtually gone. Thank you Ladybird Larvae

I’m sorry to say these just didn’t seem to work at all. I had emailed you previously and as you said then, it is about being patient, to give the larvae time, but they really made no discernible difference to my aphid problem (concentrated on one plant) and no ladybirds have emerged at all. As I had said in my email, I wasn’t even sure many live larvae were in the pack I received - I could only see a very small number. I followed all advice as to how to release them to the letter, but sadly on this occasion with absolutely no results and I continue to have significant problems. I had more success wiping aphids off with my hands and a little water, which had been my method of control before trying the larvae! Maybe mature ladybirds are better, but not sure I’d try again.

I love them, magnificent wee beasties! They are incredibly quick to grow and get started straight away. I had so many greenfly I couldn't believe it. They are now under much better control with these voracious predators. I will be having lots more next year.
