The softwood is Pressure Treated to ensure a durable construction that is protected against wood rot. “This is a great planter, In fact it’s the second one I purchased after loving the first one so much, but it arrived damaged with a huge crack in the wood. I found Garden Street so unhelpful in organising an exchange, that I ended up asking for a refund which I’m still waiting for, and had to wait 2 weeks for the planter to be collected., and was getting no response from Garden Street from the emails I sent , they were quick enough to take my money but they have no after sales support. I have now bought the planter again from another retailer so not only did garden street loose the sale they also lost any future business from me”

“These planters are excellent. This will be my fifth purchase of one. The rounded corner finish adds a degree of sophistication to the design whilst the planting space is large. I have painted mine to fit in with my garden colour scheme. No prep needed for this, just good external wood paint. The planters come fully lined for convenience although you do need to drill drainage holes yourself. Excellent service from Garden Street as always, including fast despatch and delivery.”

“Definitely looks the part but you need to thoroughly check product on delivery. the planter is heavy and noticed some damage to the base once unpacked (dropped during transit?). As it was on base did not bother to complain. As a result of the very cold, snowy weather I stored the planter in the house (for a week) prior to moving it to its outside position. The heat from the radiators appeared to soften/ loosen some of the glued joints - hope that this is not an issue if we have a hot Summer !”
