“From start to finish, this tour was a dream. Our guide, Giang, picked us up in a comfortable car and shared stories about the history of Bat Trang as we drove out of Hanoi. Once there, we toured a working kiln, learned how artisans pass down pottery skills across generations, and even tried the wheel ourselves! I made a cute little bowl (not perfect but mine!). Lunch was a lovely homemade meal at a family-owned eatery, and after that, we walked through the most photogenic village streets. The pottery market was a treasure trove—I wanted to buy everything. Giang was patient and helped us choose the best pieces for souvenirs. So personal and creative.”
