“I have just had a new patio laid. Grey Indian sandstone. A few friends had said to me that we should seal the stones for protection. I was a little dubious at first but after some research I decided that it was worth doing. Floorseal have a fantastic website which lead me to buying the product directly from their site. I applied two coats with a roller as described. The results are amazing. The overall look of the stones remains unchanged but when water runs onto the stones now it “beads” up in almost the same way as a nicely polished car. I’m now confident that my new patio has the best protection it can have. I’m also pleased that I sealed the stones when the patio was only a few weeks old. Seems like Floorseal have some excellent products and I would recommend them and also use more of their products in the future. Thanks Floorseal”

“This sealer works brilliantly, I was expecting my limestone patio and paving to soak the stuff up but after the first coat applying the second coat was difficult as the stuff just ran off when it contacted the sealed surface. The paving hasn’t changed colour at all and as I sealed it before grouting there was no resin stains like my previous attempt years ago. Great stuff thanks.”

“I used this on my Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone patio as I wanted to protect it as soon as possible after installation and without changing the appearance. I cleaned the patio first with Floorseal Cement and Grout Haze Remover, removing all the residue and footprints that my builders had kindly left. I tested the sealant on an off-cut and it’s completely invisible until you add water - the water literally runs off the area I’d painted but soaks into the area I hadn’t! I used a 2L pump sprayer to apply the sealant to a small area of patio at a time and, despite it being early April, it was a warm and sunny day so the first coat soaked in very quickly and had disappeared/dried within about 20 minutes. I then did a second coat, which took longer to soak in, so I ended up mopping up the residue with a cloth quite quickly as I was concerned about it drying in the heat. Perhaps I should have let it soak in a bit more though, as areas of the patio do absorb rain water. I also treated some Kandla Grey coping stones using a paintbrush and, being level, initially rain literally puddled on the surface and stayed for ages as there’s nowhere for it to go! A couple of weeks later though and rain is absorbing more into the surface than it was (hence the 4 stars rather than 5 as I’m surprised it’s already reacting differently). Hopefully though the stone is protected and will be easy to clean in the future. I bought a 5L bottle and used about 4L on my 14m2 patio.”
