We are glad to learn the logs are burning well Julia. The kiln drying process take moisture out of all logs including larger ones (which are normally challenging to dry out). Glad they stacked well too. Many thanks for the 5 star rating and review.
“While the logs are great, I could have had an issue with delivery. Having satisfied the specified height, width and length requirements, the pallet truck delivery driver said he was unable to reverse into my drive. Having told him to take them away, he suddenly found a way of getting the hand pump truck into my drive. When I mentioned this to Firewood Fund they advised that I would have incurred £50 for a failed delivery. I’m not happy about this.”
Hi David, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Each driver undertakes a risk assessment before attempting delivery. It is often challenging delivering such a bulk product safely. That said, i'm glad the driver managed the delivery in the end. It does cost approx £50 to send a pallet of goods to any UK address, therefore the cost has to be accounted for. We do clearly mention this on our delivery page and terms and conditions. Best regards.
Thanks for the review Joanna. Occasionally there are limitations placing the logs due to the drivers using Pallet Trucks which will not operate on gravel and soft surfaces. We are more than happy to talk about this further and explore a solution.
