“Logs are okay. I need them to fire wood-fired central heating, and struggling to get them to stay above 50 degrees which I need for the pump to work. Have been supplementing with other bits of scrap wood. Might try some composite logs together with them to reach necessary temperatures.”
Thanks for the review Claire. We are surprised that you are struggling to get to the required temperature with them. Hardwood can often take time to get properly burning due to its density, so we would recommend using plenty of kindling initially. How the logs are being stored could also be an issue. “Excellent quality KD Logs. Very little bark. Very dry. Cutting the bag, bit by bit, makes it very easy to unload. The bag is tightly packed, so I estimate (comparing it to the packed pallet I bought last year) it equates to 1.25m3, which makes it great value for money, especially given delivery is included. It is a shame that they didn’t also sell bags of smokeless eco-coal - which is a great combo.”
