Free Range Bronze Frenchbeer Turkey (4-5kg) Reviews

4.9 Rating 73 Reviews
Read Field & Flower Reviews

Our Frenchbeer turkeys are slowly grown, then slaughtered on farm, dry plucked and game hung to both enrich the breast meat and tenderise the leg meat. This process also makes sure there's fat under the skin, and because of game hanging, this moisture is locked in for cooking, resulting in deliciously moist breast meat. All of our Whole Turkeys and Turkey Crowns come with giblets in a separate bag and a pop-up timer.Well-known for a rich flavour and tender, moist meat, these turkeys are reared slowly on a whole food diet by our farmer John on his family farm in Devon. Free to roam, foraging as they please and housed safely overnight in small groups, the care and attention put into rearing the birds results in a flavour like no other.

Another delicious, top quality turkey which, when I can get no more from it in the days after Christmas, is not wasted as it becomes a wonderful turkey soup.

A smaller sized turkey which was delivered with cooking instructions including a thermometer. The result was a tasty perfectly cooked bird.

My guests (who are used to very high quality products) loved the Turkey (which was obviously perfectly cooked). It had a huge breast which was, soft, moist and very lean. The delicious dark meat almost crispy and devoid of fat. You completely outperformed more expensive local suppliers - so well done F&F!

This was a tasty and succulent bird. The small bird kept on giving and we had enough for 20 portions of food in the end. Froze well and made an Asian turkey five spice salad with all the brown meat which fed a dinner party of 8 on NYE! Will definitely order again. Thank you for giving this turkey a happy life, it was appreciated

The meat was delicious. The breast moist and the dark meat tender. My only issue was the left over feather quills in the legs and wings on arrival (very typical of hand plucked turkey of this breed from any supplier I think). This required some work from me on a busy Christmas Day and even then I couldn't remove them all.
