Our free-range chickens are tender and deliciously succulent. We’ve yet to find a bird as tasty and moist as ours. Using a whole chicken is a great and cost-effective way to make the most out of your meat. Roast a chicken and see how many meals you can make from the leftovers. Remember that the carcass can always be used to make a homemade stock for the freezer. All whole birds come with the giblets inside in a separate bag. Our chicken is reared in truly free-range conditions by Stuart Perkins at Castlemead Farm. Stuart is a third-generation farmer and keeps his chickens in small flocks of 200 so he can focus on the highest standards of welfare. The chickens are never given antibiotics and are slow grown, living twice the length of a supermarket bird.

“These chickens are amazing. We regularly freeze some of our F&F order as we don’t eat all of it in the week. The chicken goes in the freezer, sometimes for up to a month. We thoroughly defrost it and thoroughly roast it and every time it’s the best, most moist, tasty chicken we as a family have ever had!”
