“Screw to hold down edge guide stripped out on first use. I got my own screw and tapped it, only to find out edge guide is set way to low for thinner material. I was cutting material that was one eight inch thick, I don’t think this saw would really cut mild steel material much thicker, so why is blade guide only useable for material a half inch or thicker? Saw had trouble cutting the 1/8” mild steel with blade that comes with it. Don’t know if better blade would help it or not. Pic below shows where thinner materials would just slide thru and make edge guide unusable.”

“Previously I was using a torch or a cut-off wheel to cut down corten steel plates. Both were oaky but, this saw blows them out of the water. It cut .25 thick plate faster than I was expecting. If you need to cut or rip plate steel this is the only option.”

“Didn’t even know this existed till a few months ago. I cut a lot of 11ga plate steel and I’ve always use the plasma cutter. Now I can cut straight and clean lines 8’ long.”
