“I bought the saw to make an 8' cut in 1/2" plate steel. It took 3 blades to finally complete the cut. Could only cut about 12" at a time before the red light on the saw would come on and let the saw cool off for about fifteen minutes before starting again. I finally completed the cut, but it was slow and tedious. I hope the saw will work better for cuts in thinner steel.”

“Evolution S210CCS: I spent a lot of years in various machine shops cutting and machining metal parts with the "proper" tools. Sometimes we pushed the limits for "proper", but a circular saw was always considered crazy dangerous! This saw changes that notion. Not only "proper", sometimes "preferred"!!! Just clamp the piece down, set the blade depth properly, add a guide for longer runs and make the cut. Easy! Even though this thing is kinda big and heavy, you still get the feel for the proper feed rate after a couple of cuts. It's pretty amazing! Of course, make sure you're not pushing the limits of the saw and blade, take your time setting up, wear your PPE and be careful!”

“Vary nice saw needs a heavier base plate to hold flat 90°, Plate does bend. Blade gard needs pull handle to rise the gard up to clear the "slide track" when in use. This not a deal breaker but at the same time, This would put this saw over the top pick.”
