As supplied the angles seem to be about right and certainly good enough for general joinery. Not tested on anything critical as yet. The multipurpose blade is OK on wood but I will probably try to find a dedicated wood blade. (25.4mm centres seem rare.) The laser guide is useful and OK for workshop but not bright enough for outdoor use in full sun. The build quality is good but some elements are not as positive as they could be. The fit of the head on the rails is a bit slack and the use of retaining latches seems strange for a one off operation. Works well with the Evolution saw table.

As a recently retired worker I found I needed something to occupy my time and woodworking was my choice. I am a novice so any comments may vary from other peoples. I already had a chop saw but I wanted to "upgrade" and after trawling the internet, reading reviews on saws I decided on the Rage3 because of the features it carries, price and the favourable reviews it got from professional woodworkers. How glad I did, it has lived up to all expectations ! On delivery (which was excellent fro Amazon), it was well packaged, the assembly on first glance was a little daunting but after reading the assembly instructions it was quite simple to assemble. The only setting up, the blade, fence and laser was no problem and anyone who has the intelligence to use this saw safely will have no trouble setting it up. I have used it a number of times now and it give's an excellent cut with very little tearout, I cut some 22mm copper pipe and it cut it like butter with only a few wipes of emery tape to clean the ends. I cannot compare it to other brands of saws because of my lack of experience in woodworking, however I think up to now it was an excellent buy and anyone looking for a good robust saw need look no further! The only other thing to comment on is the life of the blade, how long it keeps sharp has yet to be assessed. In short BUY IT !!

Simple to setup and easy to use. Solid build, but pity the dust bag isn't included.

Very pleased with this saw, excellent value for money. I bought it with the stand which is also good. It saws through hardwood doors with virtually no resistance, the blade is fantastic. One minor niggle though is that the blade will come undone during use so needs tightening from time to time. The orange knob used to lock the sliding mechanism in place works its way loose and flies off when using the sliding action, so needs to be left off. I would definitely recommend this saw though, a great buy!
