This mitre saw is very well made.I also bought the saw stand to go with it which combined with the saw makes a good quality setup. The saw is powerful and cuts through wood like butter. I bought the saw as a graded item from evolution's ebay outlet at a bargain price of £71.99 and found the stand at B&Q for £50 with free delivery. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the revolution brand and would definitely recommend them.

I found it easy to put together and use. One problem is when mounted on the Evolution stand, you cannot move the angle round to 45 degrees as the mounting bar gets in the way. If you leave the rubber feet on this lifts it clear but then is not very stable. I will have to make my own spacers to overcome the design flaw.

A good quality product for the price. The laser works well with the finished cut being as accurate as I need. Sadly my package didn't include the dust bag as it was not included by the retailer. Not a huge problem though the postage of the bag would cost more than the bag is worth. Just a minor irritation that mars a great product.

Solid machine, appears to be well built (its certainly heavy enough !) but, disappointing that the cutting blade supplied with this factory re-conditioned model appears somewhat brutally crude , hence when working with soft wood there is a tendency for the blade to rip into the wood rather than producing a neat clean cut, causing splintering of wood ends. (This may be the result of the blade being capable of cutting metal as well as wood, hence it can hardly be expected to be capable of producing such a fine cut through wood as may be achieved with a cutting disc comprising of sharper small finer teeth.) Also disappointing that the mitre cut doesn't appear accurate, nor does the cutting disc actually cut at a true 90 degrees. Furthermore the cut produced is always out of alignment with the laser light. The instruction manual is generic,- hence attempts to describe features across a range of machines, therefore some items referred to are irrelevant to the machine I purchased. The manual attempts to outline a procedure for correcting any misalignment with machine, but frankly, I couldn't make sense of it. I was also surprised by how the machine struggles to cut through relatively modest thicknesses of soft wood,- resulting in such high temperatures whilst the disc progresses through the wood that it produces brown scorch marks and quite a lot of smoke. I bought this machine to replace an identical one which had ceased working after just over two years of infrequent use. However, whilst I am disappointed at the cutting quality and cutting accuracy of this replacement machine in comparison to the original, it still represents reasonable value for money.

Used my mates Rage 3 to lay numerous laminate floors in mine and my daughters house. Can't fault it, does everything I need it to do so bought my own along with anEvolution work bench for the saw to sit on. Love the laser line makes cutting so much easier, just follow assembly instructions to ensure the settings are zeroed and square. Recommended
