“I use both terminal surface and multi-storey on a regular basis. I always book online and pre-pay. On exiting the car park I am asked to pay at the barrier around 50% of the time. It’s always resolved, but it’s very annoying. It’s been an issue for ages….are you getting to the bottom of it?”

We are constantly looking at our equipment and ways we can improve. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes.

“Firstly, may I say that this the first time I have used this facility at Edinburgh Airport.
On arrival I collected my ticket and entered the parking area and this is where I was totally confused. As this was my first time I fully expected to have a parking space reserved for me, particularly as this was arranged several weeks prior to my arrival date.
Unfortunately I was wrong and had to drive around the carpark several times while hunting for a free space, somewhat disappointed, if not a little stressed, bordering on irate.
Beyond this my experience was as expected and I found it to be a good choice of parking arrangements.”
