“Space was very narrow and we had the usual issue with the barrier on exit not recognising our number plate so we had to talk to the attendant but apart from that it was relatively straight forward and only a short walk from the terminal.”
“normally very good use this often
Only one thing in long stay barrier it used to open the barrier automatically if prepaid , I guess was reading car registration. In Mid stay this doesn't happen need to put a ticket in”
“Bad experience whilst exiting at the end of our stay. Popped the ticket in the machine and it came up with a message saying I needed to pay £150. Tried calling information but no reply meanwhile a number of cars was starting to queue up behind me. Tried calling again, this time got a guy but I couldn't really hear him from sitting in my car as the volume was very low plus there was background noise going on from the airport. Got out the car and put my head right up to the machine to try and hear the guy. He asked the reg number which I wasn't too familiar with so had to go to the back of the car to read it off. He then said pop the card in again but nothing happened and it spat it out. He said try it again which I did and bingo the barrier went up. Had to raise my hand up in apology to the car drivers behind me. He gave no expanation as to why that messgae came up in the first place .Our flight was on time and by the time we got through baggage etc it was well withing the times I stated when I booked the parking online. Left a sour taste after a long days travelling. Have you come across this before and if so what causes the machine to come up with a message demanding £150???”
Thank you for your review. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes. I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.
Kind regards,
Customer Support Team
“This is an excellent option for a few days away........as long as you remember that you took a ticket from the machine when you enter, and then present it to the machine when you leave, which I initially forgot to do!!
Most important to book your parking slot well in advance as it works out much less expensive if you do so.
To give an idea I paid £74.00 in advance, but if I had just stayed there for the same length of time without paying in advance, the charge would have been well over £300.”
“Carpark is easy to find and only a short walk to the terminal. Customer support were helpful and prompt in resolving a mistake we'd made. Would use again.”
