This is our third visit to the mid stay parking at Edinburgh airport and I highly recommend it to anyone. Easy to find, big spaces and very easy to get to the terminal building and the tram for central Edinburgh. Our flight was delayed 2.5 hrs so we had a charge on our ticket as we left but a quick chat with the person on the other end of the buzzer a few details verified and we were free to go. Great service as always.

Impressed with the ease of booking and close proximity of the carpark to the airport terminal. However, very disappointed with the failure of the vehicle recognition cameras. On our exit from the carpark, we were informed we needed to pay a charge of £410. This was quickly resolved after intercom communication with someone who checked our vehicle registration but was not the shock we needed at 3am on our return from our holiday.

Thank you for your review. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

The carpark barrier didn’t recognise my car registration when we arrived, I rang the telephone number before we left the car and explained. The person on the phone said just go On holiday and if there is any problems with the exit barrier on your return just press the help button on the barrier intercom. When we returned from holiday we try to Exit the barrier, the gate said we owed £270 but we pressed the help Button and a person saw our carparking order and wiped the fees allowing us to go through the barrier. I would use this service again.

Our Loganair flight from the Isle of Man to Edinburgh on Sunday 3rd September 2023 was cancelled at short notice due to an incident at Isle of Man airport. Since there were no alternative flights to Edinburgh, we were diverted to a Liverpool flight, followed by a ground transfer to Edinburgh airport. This delay resulted in my young family and I arriving at Edinburgh airport in the early hours (01:30) of Monday morning, 4th September 2023. As such, we had to pay overstay charges for our car (OW17DZU, Ref UFE8YOSDY) in the Mid Stay car-park since we were beyond the 'grace period'. Our main feedback to Edinburgh airports is that, once our flight had been cancelled and it was clear we would be beyond this grace period, we found no way of amending the booking on-line. We also found that guideline for 'what to do' in this situation were extremely poor and/ or non existent. This would have avoided significant further anxiety (to an already stressful scenario) - both in terms of cost and practicalities of remediating the situation, very late at night. In the end, we managed to exit the airport relatively simply by using the machine - although the additional 'overstay cost' £18 was expensive. However, we had no way of knowing this in advance. In summary, for the cost of Mid Stay parking (over £150 in this instance), we would have expected better support on-line to amend or deal with these stressful situations as they arise and evolve. In fact, it left us feeling that the Edinburgh airport's approach is to 'capitalize' on these unfortunate situations by deliberately making it difficult to amend / adjust. real-time. I dread to think what the additional costs would have been if we had taken the flight to next day. As such, we would be very wary about booking car parking with Edinburgh airport in future, in favour of other, cheaper alternatives. anyway, we hope you find this feedback constructive,

I booked on line, the cost £27,99 approx. I arrived about 7.30 p.m. early dusk. I felt confused by different coloured signs to parking. Entered one barrier and took ticket. Parked up and went into airport. Flight was late but we were at the barrier by about 10 p.m. I put in the ticket and it came up with additional £16 charge. I called 'help' and they said I was in the wrong car park. I was not familiar with the new layout and that was a total cost of £44 approx for about f two and a half hours parking. I am a pensioner and feel this is extravagant and a gross overcharge even for Edinburgh Airport! I would be grateful if you could consider some refund even if I did go in the wrong car park. I do hope you can look favourably on this request.

Thank you for your review. If you have parked in the wrong car park you may be charged an additional exit fee. This is because the space you used was in a more expensive car park. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Wasn't sure about mid stay - thought it might be too far away and more hassle when i have previously used the terminal or multi storey parking. However, was really easy, got a space right as i drove in and the walk to the terminal was only a few mins so no hassle at all!
