The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations.

“I booked a one-week stay in Long Stay Car Parking. Using the facility within the web application to do so, I updated the car registration to a different car several days prior to my departure. Upon returning from my holiday, I placed my ticket into the barrier ticket machine to attempt to drive out of the car park. The ticket machine did not recognise my car registration and showed that I owed £175, rather than simply allowing me to leave the car park.
I pressed the buzzer on the ticket machine, and the gentleman who I spoke to was very helpful, accepted my explanation, and accepted that the web application had not updated my booking correctly. My reasoning for giving a rating of poor is not in relation to how the gentleman resolved the issue for me, as he was very polite, courteous, and efficient and resolving the issue and letting me leave the car park.
My reasoning for giving a rating of poor is that I often return on flights arriving at 1.30am, and would not appreciate this situation arising at that time of the day. I can evidence that I updated the car registration using the web application prior to my departure. Please review that your web application is correctly updating car registrations when they are changed and that this information is being correctly updated in your system that the car park's ANPR cameras use.”

Unfortunately, at the moment we are unable to change the car registration number on your booking as when we change this on our system it doesn’t reach our entry barrier. We are working with our ANPR barrier provider and developers to resolve this problem however, our car parking team can manually change this for you upon entry, where we know the manual override is successful.

“Long stay has gone downhill since the bus to the terminal has been removed. It is quite a long walk through the car park, with no pavement much of the way. Signage is limited (especially returning from the terminal) and you effectively have to find the hole in the fence to get through the mid stay car park and onto the terminal. If there was a proper path with a smooth covered surface, not worn rough tarmac in places with puddles to soak your trolley case, it would be ok. The booking, entry and exit process is smooth at least.”

“Easy to park 10 min walk Only problem is direction to terminal on foot - Signage not brilliant in carpark area in the dark, Pedestrian acces gates and signage could be improved. Hence only 4 stars”
