“No covered walk way to get to terminal so I got very wet as it was raining.
Difficult to steer baggage trolley along designated walk way due to bumpy rumble strips.”
“Occassionally difficult to find a space, but in the main, this is an excellent alternative to the expense of a cab when away for a few short trip. I really like the convenience.”
“Parking arrangements were satisfactory apart from the following:-
1. Access to the airport is poor in terms of the poor surface of footpaths, litter and incomplete construction works.
2. On the day we returned (10 June) there were no luggage trolleys available, this being blamed on a new contractor who had failed to arrange for trolleys to be returned from outlying areas of the airport. Witnessing large families with young children struggle to get to their cars was not a welcome sight.
3. The airport itself was third rate - (i) flooring was filthy as we exited the aircraft, (ii) the roof leaked in places, noting that a bucket had been placed to collect some of the water (but no one bothered to empty it, leaving water to spill over to walkway (safety hazard)), (iii) usual long wait for luggage to be discharged, (iv) given the aforementioned the "Happy to help" staff were anything but.
4. The airport as a whole is barely worthy of a third world capital city, this being the fourth time in recent years we have returned to Scotland via Edinburgh and our experience has been the same each time. Two stars were only awarded because (i) we had access to twilight drop-off the evening before deaprture, (ii) the plane was on time, and (iii) entry / exit to the car park was seamless. Overall the service at Edinburgh bears no comparison to that offered at Glasgow / Manchester.”
“About the only good value at this dump of an airport. Long stay was priced very reasonably. Not too far to walk with a small bag. However if you have a large suitcase, it's a long way, uneven surface, puddles in the walkway, and gat area. Poor signage too. Airport is a hotch pitch.”
“Third time ive used. Third time ive put my ticket in and been faced with a large bill to get out. 4am and have to message someone to get out after pre-booking. If you didnt know what to do you might feel forced to pay for something you have already paid for. £260 on my ticket ive already paid for.”
Thank you for your review,
It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. I understand the frustration that it causes however I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.
Kind regards,
