“The last time we had airport parking in Edinbrgh we used the FastPark Valet Parking which was excellent. It was not an option this time so we went for the Convenient parking not realising this was the Long Stay but without the bus. We spent a significant time driving round the carpark in heavy rain. Eventually we found a space near sign J5 and set about the walk in heavy rain. This was not marked or signposted and in sections had deep puddles that soaked shoes and, as importantly any bags being towed to the terminal. The impression was that the decision to remove buses had been undertaken as a hasty cost cutting measure before setting up a pedestrian based infrastructure. The "Set down" area inside the car park adjacent to the fence was confusing and shambolic.
When we returned it was dry and we eventually completed the walk to J5. Then we set about trying to get out. Exit signs could be seen but some of these were for the pedestrian exit to the terminal and others for the vehicle exit. The arrows just took us round and round the parking spaces one way, not to the exit. At close to midnight an inability to find a very poorly marked car park exit did not help my temper. It was very lucky for any staff member that the number plate recognition system worked!
For the misfortune of using this car park I was charged £100. As a starter you must get the Pedestrian Routes clearly marked and rainwater removed from them. At £100 per week it should be a covered walkway. The vehicle Exit (and entry) must be clearly marked in a different colour from the Pedestrian Exit. Finally you should half the price, starting with me!”

“Long stay car park is not ideal when arriving in the rain or early hours of darkness as the pathways are all flooded and difficult to pull cases over. Not enough trolley bays throughout car park. Distance to covered walkway is too far in poor weather resulting in being soaked before getting to terminal.”
“The long stay car park is easy to access and is not a long walk to the terminal. The only critisism I would have is that there ought to be better signage for the terminal. If you are parked some distance from the terminal in some of the perimeter areas and especially when it is dark, then it is not easy to see the shortest/ most direct route. There ought to be directional arrows on the roads between the rows of vehicles. This would be a great help.”
