“It is so rare to find a sunscreen that treats and prevents acne without being either overly mattifying or incredibly oily. This hydrates my dry skin and sets to a lovely dewy finish. Flawless!”
“Overall this sunscreen is excellent. One of the biggest pros is that makeup is actually very easy to apply over it and blend to a natural finish around the hairline/jaw/temples/eyebrows. My true review would probably be a 4.8 out of 5 because of two minor issues. First, this sunscreen can sting a bit on application if skin is sensitive from retinoid use or exfoliation. I think this is due to the high concentration of niacinamide BUT one of the reasons I like this SPF is for its inclusion of a solid dose of niacinamide. The biggest real issue is the amount of product one must apply to get stated coverage. 3 pumps?! This is a massive amount of product and more than I will ever apply to my face. If a sunscreen could be formulated to get stated protection with 2 pumps, this would be the ideal sunscreen.”
“I'm an avid user of the Dr Sam skin care range. I've been using most of her products since they first launched and love them apart from this sunscreen. I've tried going back to it several times and each time it sits on my skin and looks greasy and sticky. I wanted to love it but my skin just doesn't like it. Maybe a lighter texture could solve this if they launch one in the future.”
“This is an absolutely gem of a product. I was a bit worried at first because I was expecting a thick cream that sits on the skin looking greasy- totally not! I put it on after daily moisturiser and leave about 5 mins before putting makeup on, it sinks in lovely and is a great base to then put makeup on. It’s now one of my essential items.”
“I absolutely adore this sun screen. I had been on the hunt for one that would work well under make up, not feel heavy or break me out and this does exactly that. It has such a beautiful texture and feels very luxurious on the skin. It doesn’t leave a white cast or pill at all (something I had trouble with previous sun screens I had tried) I’m so glad I have finally found a sun screen I love and actually enjoy wearing! “I've been using this daily for a few months now and it is really great. I love the way it feels on my skin and also that it really does help new acne blemishes and healing ones too. However, it really does leave a terrible cast on my dark skin (fitzpatrick 5) if I use the recommended amount as per Dr Sam's video. If I use less than the recommended amount it blends in beautifully and I can wear it with or without makeup but it is sad that I have to do that. I would really like it to have at least a tint to it. That would make the world of difference and set it apart on the market. Currently this is the only mineral sunscreen readily available in the UK with Niacinamide in it but because of the white cast, I find myself ordering the Elta MD tinted sunscreen from abroad just because it is better for dark skin (even though I do prefer this one).”
