“I have been using the basics for about a month and my skin really has never looked better. The sunscreen dose is quite a lot but it does dry down quite a bit to a dewy rather than greasy finish and it looks great under makeup if you use a beauty blender. Also you don’t need moisturiser if you use the sunscreen.”
“I bought this as part of the basics set. I’m enjoying the Nightly, which is working well for my sensitive skin, but unfortunately the sunscreen won’t be a repurchase. Despite following the application process diligently, the product pills almost every time. Furthermore, when I’ve used it without moisturiser for exercising outside, it has left my skin spotty and congested. When I’ve used it without a layer of moisturiser underneath and not exercising, it does sit nicely and gives a good glow.”
“I have Rosacea and have tried many sunscreens that have burned my face. This sunscreen is the only one that protects my face with no signs of irritation. I am 50 years old ... starting to use sunscreen for the first time! Great product!”
“I really wanted to give this sunscreen five stars. I love the texture and for me it only gives a slightly white cast. It combines well with all the other Dr. Sam's products, but I just wish they would have used a different filter instead of octinoxate. I understand the choice because it's a common used one and there's little chance of skin irritation, but it's harmful for the environment.”
“Liking the cream however 3 pumps is way too much and sits in my skin even after waiting 15 mins. 2 pumps seems to be fine as I am not a sun worshipper I am satisfied with the protection it will provide. I do use a different lotion for my neck so it will be cost effective and last longer.”
“This product leaves your skin looking white and wet, not a flattering look! I know it's designed to be worn under makeup, so maybe it's ok when you do so, but I don't wear makeup. It definitely isn't suitable to wear by itself unfortunately. The white cast takes hours to fade (and by that point you are supposed to reapply!). It leaves my pale sensitive, prone-to-dryness skin feeling and looking wet, yet manages to dry my skin out so that it feels rough afterwards, especially on the chest area. You have to apply a ridculous amount, far more than I've ever applied in my life! (But maybe we should be applying all brands to that degree?). It's very expensive, lasting around 10 days when applied once a day to face, neck and chest at 3 pumps per area. I used this in place of Deciem's Survival 30, which is the most amazing facial sunscreen I have ever used. It's been out of stock for months and so I was looking for an alternative. This sadly doesn't compare, so the search continues!”
“Feels so good on your skin, can definitely tell it’s made a huge difference adding a SPF 50 to my skincare regime in a short space of time I have noticed amazing results. Lovely as a primer under my make up aswell”
