“I’m sure the SPF is good, but unfortunately broke me out really quickly. I have very fussy skin and have to be really carful with ingredient lists. Usually I wouldn’t go for anything with Shea butter but I use so much other Dr Sam products which I absolutely love and thought I’d give it a go. Patch tested on my chin and forehead as this is my most problematic areas. By night time I could see break outs coming up, by morning I honestly had about 8 new spots in the areas I used the SPF. I only used that one time and then gave to my friend. A bit disappointed as it’s quite expensive but just doesn’t work for my skin at all. My skin is completely back to normal after 5 days of using my other dr Sam products.”

You may prefer the formulation of our Flawless Daily Sunscreen, which is a hybrid of both Zinc Oxide and Octinoxate (which is a chemical filter). It is great for acne-prone skin, as it also contains and also contains 5% Niacinamide which calms blemishes. We understand your concern about skincare ingredients, especially regarding shea butter. It's often misunderstood as a pore-clogging ingredient, but it's not classified as comedogenic. However, individual experiences and reactions to ingredients can differ.
The formulation of Dr Sam's products has been carefully reviewed to meet the requirements of being non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin. We avoid using ingredients in amounts that are regarded as potentially comedogenic or irritating to the skin. However, if you've had a bad experience in the past with these ingredients, it's always best to respect that.
