“This is only the second tinted sunscreen that I have tried and without a doubt this is now my favourite. The other that I tried was very drying due to no moisturising ingredients but this one feels lovely on my skin. I purchased tint 1 as I am fair skinned. It leaves a beautiful glow which makes your complexion look dewy and helps to blur my imperfections which I wasn't really expecting but am amazed at every time I use it. I am not a foundation person so for me this is a perfect alternative.”
“As a recent convert to the Dr Sam range I have now had the opportunity to try both flawless gossamer (tinted) and flawless daily sunscreen, and whilst the tinted flawless gossamer sunscreen is ok in that it doesn’t trigger my rosacea, I personally don’t like the thickness of it, especially as I have dry skin. I bought the tinted version so that I wouldn’t have to wear foundation but unfortunately it isn’t flattering on my skin. So whilst I would recommend others to to try it, I personally won’t be repurchasing it - instead. I’ll go back to buying the flawless daily sunscreen.”
“I'm so torn about this product: I love the texture, the dewy finish on the skin, that it doesn't make my eyes sting... but the pump on the tube is AWFUL. I'm never sure if I'm getting the right dose to give the protection listed on the bottle.
I'd also be interested to know why there isn't a round UVA symbol on the tube (like there is on the Flawless Daily Sunscreen one) - does that mean the UVA protection provided by Gossamer isn't as high?
Sadly no matter how much I love the formula, I can't honestly recommend it until the packaging is updated to make it easy to use every day - the most important thing for a sunscreen.”
“Good SPF, no white cast, non irritating. Good base for make-up. Will buy again. Would however like to try the darker tint but it never seems to be in stock. This one is very pale”
“I love this product, the only flaw is the pump which can be temperamental at times. The texture of the sunscreen is quite thick however it absorbs easily into the skin, leaving it glowing and with no white cast. I’ve found it great for layering with other products and never have any pilling. Upon using it recently on a holiday to Spain I was happy with the level of protection it provided and also that it didn’t run into or irritate my eyes.”
“This is super thick and sticky and if I use the full recommended dose on my face I look and feel absolutely caked in it, plus it's fairly hard to remove, certainly the cleanser in this line alone won't do the job. All that said, it's protective, the shades are decent given there are only two, it's non-irritating, non-drying and I like the formulation. I think the downsides apply to all physical sunscreens, there's no getting away from them, and so if it's a physical spf you're after, I'd recommend this one given all of its upsides.”
