“I was hesitant to purchase this because I have oily skin and often find that SPF's look greasy and feel heavy on my skin. I got this as a gift and was pleasantly surprised. It does give the promised grown-up glow but it's not too shiny. I do need to powder afterwards. I have fair, pale skin but I find the colour too light - I like to have a bit more colour on the face for a healthier look. I have mixed some of my foundation with it and it worked well. I wish it was more like the colour on the Jan Marini Physical SPF. And I agree with other reviews - the pump needs to be changed, it's a struggle every time..”
“I love this product but have deducted a star because of the faulty pump (which the company are aware of and are working on). I received advice from the excellent customer service team but had to return my first tube because of the pump issues and was immediately refunded. I waited a couple of months and then repurchased and so far the pump is working. Although I have fair/light skin, the tint is a still little too light for me but a little bit of powder over the top sorts that out. Unfortunately the darker tint has been out of stock for months now. For info I am 62 and have combination skin with open pores and occasional breakouts (and wrinkles). This product does not seem to cause me any problems and feels lovely on the skin.”
“Love this product but the pump is ridiculous!! End up spending 10 mins each morning trying to get anything out. Whoever tested this out needs to get a new job! I have to end up cutting the top of the bottle off to use it.”
“I'm not the biggest fan of this product. I've puchased it twice as it's hard for me to find a tinted sunscreen that dosn't look orange on me (I wear nr. 01), and I love the color of this one. It is quite heavy on the skin but I don't always mind that. However I haven't had an opportunity to use it on the regular and get to know the product very well due to the faulty pump, it really makes using this in the morning a stressful task. Both the pumps have the same issu, which also makes it hard to get the right amount of product.”
“I love this SPF! It doesn't break me out, which is rare for my skin and SPF. It isn't greasy either which means that my makeup lasts longer and the tint means that there's no white cast on my skin. The only down side is the packaging - the pump doesn't always work well, but I will cope with that because of how good the product itself is!”
“Firstly the pump simply doesn’t work consistently which isn’t acceptable at this price point. Other than that I find that if you use the amount of product needed for proper protection it is incredibly heavy and greasy (I have dry skin) and never dries down to a point where makeup can be applied without me giving up and rubbing it in (and probably off). This lack of drying down also means that the tint rubs off and stains making it unsuitable for use on eg neck. I’m reluctant to waste something this expensive but having already had to cut the tube in half to get to the product, avoid it on days where I need to get to work (would need to get up sn hour early to let it dry!) and use a different product on my neck I’m ready to put the rest in the bin.”
“I have dry to normal sensitive skin and I adore this sunscreen. I am guilty of not using sunscreen because of the unpleasant heavy feel of many but this is light weight and the light tint helps even me out while also wearing beautifully under my makeup. The pump gives me some trouble when traveling if I forget to set it upright but usually I just leave it standing on its cap for the product to drain to the bottom and avoid any trouble. I don’t use it on my neck as I’m worried the tint will discolor my clothing but I’m thinking the untinted will be a great addition to my routine.”
“I use only Dr Sam’s products and love them. But this sunscreen gossamer untainted is awful on my skin. It leaves a white cast, is difficult to rub in and worst of I all it pills terribly, very disappointing. Now the flawless sunscreen is gorgeous never any pilling and glides on like a dream.”
