“I have been looking for a pure mineral sunscreen to help with my rosacea. This is very gentle, easy to apply. However, it does leave a white cast and is not as enjoyable to use as the other sunscreen in terms of texture and application, & like others I also think the pump is a bit hit and miss.
I will try the tinted version next. I have used this on my young children though and I was very pleased, and would use this for them if it came in a larger size as it is a real struggle to find mineral options in the uk.”
“Been struggling with pilling sunscreen for ages that left me feeling like a grease slick. Applied in layers as directed in the video, it sinks into my skin like a dream and appears to blur little imperfections and makes my pores appear smaller. Give it 5 minutes or so between layers if you can, as that really helps it sink in. My sensitive, rosacea-prone skin is so happy to have this physical SPF!”
“After years of searching for a spf that I love I have discovered Dr Sam's untinted Gossamer. It glides on the skin and works as a primer for my skin. The untinted works best for me as I do love my foundation and this sits so well under it. Best of all - it doesn't actually feel like a spf and suits my rosacea skin beautifully. “Had high hopes for this physical sunscreen and it did not disappoint. I would describe it as a rich cream but has a really elegant finish, non greasy but not super matte either - just perfect. No white cast on my Mac NC25 - NC30 skin tone and sat lovely underneath foundation with no primer. A definite re-purchase in fact it will be my go to facial sunscreen from now on. The only mineral sunscreen I have tried that is similar to this one is by Omorovicza and cost much more ml for ml. Well done Dr Sams.”
“I no longer hate applying the sunscreen but actually look forward to it. It glides, it absorbs, it feels wonderfully light and hydrating, not sticky. And this is after Brightly and azelaic and moisturiser. And then my Nars foundation glides on beautifully on top, I couldn’t believe it.
On its own it does leave a little lavender shade on my face but not on the neck strangely enough. But it’s not a problem since my make up goes on easily and quickly on top.”
