This product hydrates well, but I find it too thick and sticky. Perhaps this sort of consistency just isn’t right for me.

This is a great lip balm for doing what you would want a lip balm to do. My lips feel moisturised for hours after using it so I don't need to constantly re-apply. It gives you a beautiful shine to the lips as well, acting as a lip gloss as well as a lip balm. My only comment is that because it's so thick, my hair often gets caught by it if there is a breeze.

This is a v thick lip balm and is a bit more expensive than other similar brands on the market however is very nourishing. Would be 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper and had an added fragrance.

The lip balm is lovely and nourishing. I would be giving it 5 star if it wasn't for the smell! I have to agree with the other reviews, the smell is off putting! Its probably more noticeable as its right under your nose. Would be great product if it didn't smell.

I have chronic dry lips and this is the best product I've ever used, however, I can only give 3 stars because it has a unpleasant fragrance. They say it's fragrance free but the lanolin in the formula makes the product stink of lamb's wool.

After trying probably every lip balm on the market, I can happily say I have found my holy grail. It is thick without being sticky and doesn't leave my lips overly shiny if you apply a thin layer (I'm male and have a personal preference not to look like I'm wearing lip gloss). A thin layer is all that's needed and for this reason the tube lasts a really long time too. Friends have often joked about how often I apply lip balm because usually after one application my lips start to dry out and need a touch up. Somehow Dr Sam's lip balm means I don't need to reapply on the hour every hour and I'm guessing this is because of the ceramides in the formula which actually help with lip restoration as opposed to just superficial moisturising. I also love that there are only 2 ingredients in this - no nonsense! If I were to be truly spoilt, I would love a version of this product with SPF; if that ever happened it would undoubtedly be the lip balm to end all lip balms!

This lip moisturiser is THE BEST. I have one in my work bag, one next to my bed and one ALWAYS with me when I'm going outside.

Buy this for my daughter who is taking roaccutane. Says it is the best lip balm she has used for preventing her lips cracking. I use it too now and lips are hydrated. An SPF 50 version would be great.
