The colour is odd and I can’t seem to apply Dr Sam’s sunscreen over the top well, even if I leave time between layers. “I’ve only just started to use this and was really excited to try it but here are my first impressions, pluses and minuses.
I like the slight tint and that this serum isn’t at all irritating to my eyes.
I don’t like how thick and hard to rub in it is and feel that this stretching and rubbing can’t be good for the delicate skin around my eyes.
I’ve tried applying before and after vitamin c but so far have had pilling and pulling when applying and the serum seems to lie on the skin and then, if I’m not careful even sets a bit and is difficult to rub off! Any tips or tricks?”
Hi Terina, thank you for your feedback! To improve your experience with Brightly Eye Serum, we recommend the following: Make sure your skin is completely dry before applying to avoid pilling. Use just half a pump for both eyes—less is more! Apply in small dots around the eye area and gently tap with your ring finger. Avoid overlapping any other serums, including moisturisers, where the serum is applied. When applying SPF, tap it in gently to avoid disturbing the serum. “Must be the colourants and mica in the ingredients but the tinted colour settles in my fine lines and looks horrible. I’ve tried it with other moisturiser/serums but still it leaves a golden, almost glittery colour around my eyes….even when I’ve used the smallest amount of it. Will only use it at night now. Expensive lesson learned. Bought it from Sephora but should have bought my other items from here and tried a sample of this first. Silly me.”
