Flawless Body Mineral UV Reviews

3.8 Rating 63 Reviews
Admittedly this was the first time trying a mineral sunscreen, But the smell is awful, it leaves a white cast and once I’ve applied it, it pill’s really bad on my hands & they’re left with a awful feeling on them. I had brought 2 tubes & they were kind enough for me to return the unopened one.

I love this SPF. It is very easy and pleasant to apply, has a sheer finish and, most importantly, doesn't seem to cause any breakouts. I love to use it everyday - especially on my neck and arms. I'm going to repurchase it for the third time.

I use this mainly for my neck, decollete and hands. It's very smooth, hydrating and glides likes a dream. Best body spf I've tried.

There are very few purely mineral body SPF products on the market and those that do exist are generally very heavy, unpleasant to wear and leave horrendous white casts, which, on any skin type, are unflattering. Enter Dr. Sam’s Flawless Body Mineral UV, promising broad spectrum SPF 50 protection and water resistance in a 200ml tube. Unfortunately, while the SPF protection is second to none and the water resistance, a nice feature itself, is very effective, I think there are two flaws with this sunscreen which make it difficult to recommend to most people. Firstly, this product, in spite of the marketing claims of “Zero white cast, just nourishing, glowy protection” leaves a significant white cast on most skin types. There is just no denying this. The product applies very whitely to the skin and, although the initial significant cast does reduce somewhat, it never really blends completely in a way a combination sunscreen would. The marketing is a bit of a misnomer. It is, in fact, not especially comfortable to wear. Secondly, the product, I find pills quite a bit on the skin. With the white cast and pilling, it is always evident that one is wearing something on one’s skin. Given the fact that mineral sunscreen is usually only preferable for very sensitive areas like the face, it might be wiser to try a combination sunscreen, which will not leave such a cast and will not pill. One might be more likely to wear this, which is the most important thing. The size of the tube, the water resistance and the high protection are nice, but the white cast and pilling make this tough to recommend for most, except perhaps those with very reactive skin, who are entirely incapable of tolerating a combination sunscreen.

Love this product and would buy it again. It's the first sun protection that I have tried that has felt like putting on a body lotion after your shower in the morning. One of the challenges I have found with applying suncream every day is that, while on holiday many suncreams smell like holiday and give a kind sticky sheen which you don't really mind when wearing swimwear, is that that is not the feeling and smell you want before setting off for work in the morning. Flawless body mineral UV feels more like a body lotion to me with the added sun protection. I have not experienced any white cast or pilling as per other reviews.

I am a client of the clinic and a long time user of the Flawless range. I wanted to love this SPF but honestly I can’t recognise it from the description on the tube. Elegant, silky, invisible it is not. It rubs in so poorly, it pills, leaves white streaks and leaves marks on clothes. It’s honestly one of the poorest formulations I’ve tried and so I really can’t recommend. It does seem to be decent at its main job, ie sun protection, but when it rubs in this badly you don’t have confidence that you’re getting full coverage I’m afraid.
