Very smooth with good range. Small negatives: the electrical connection between the screen and the bike needed a very hard push to locate properly. At first I didn't push hard enough and so the levels couldn't be engaged, but the customer services helpfully explained that it really needed a hard push. initially made a clunky noise which is gradually reducing, again, customer services said it should 'go away' not quite gone yet.

We are delighted with the bike, it is sturdy and well conceived. Construction was straightforward and although I hadn't assembled it took less than half an hour to complete. One point of slight difficulty was with the multiway plug and socket that connected the display to the cable in the front tube; a locking plug and socket would have improved thing as each time I tried to attach the display to the tube the connection would come apart due to the stiffness of the cable assembly pulling the connector from the display.

Straight forward to build up. Well built and solid feel. Quiet in operation. Comfortable seat. Plenty of scope for height and distance adjustment. Only weakness is the backlit control buttons leak too much light around their perimeter.

An excellent machine. Came well packaged and easy to unpack. Each part was easy to get out. Even lifting out the main part wasn't difficult. The assembly instructions were straightforward, all main parts fitted together easily with the tools supplied. I left off the two plastic shields around the handlebar and stem as they were a fit fiddly. The computer and programmes are easy to work out (I'm not a fan of computers). When I started using the bike I was pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable, very quiet, the handlebars and seat were easy to adjust to my comfort. It's sturdy and very stable. I'm male 74 years old retired, reasonably fit and look forward to using the bike for a long time. It was well worth the money and I would recommend the model to anyone. Oh I forgot there is a neat holder for my Kindle so I can read and exercise at the same time. Well done DKN!

I am an older user but found it easy to set up and use the programs. The read outs of progress are clear. I have been able to find a resistance level that suits me. Putting it together was a little tricky. I spent a great deal of time trying to find the screws — they were screwed into the frame in their appropriate position. This is an excellent idea but a note on the instructions would have been welcome. I had difficulty attaching the handlebars and they are still not firm. I do find I have to tighten all screws/bolts very often. It feels very solid and safe. I found the instruction diagrams difficult to follow and had a few abortive attempts at various stages of the construction. They were clear once you’d found the right way round!!
