“I use Dermaceutic Activ Retinol regularly, every other night. If I use it every night, my skin starts to flake too much. I managed to get it half strength .(05%)once and could use that every night. Retinol is the one ingredient we all need to be using as it has been proven to increase the rate of skin cell renewal. The 1% is probably better for younger skin but is fine for older skin like mine used every other day. It creates a lovely healthy glow when used correctly.”

“I have a love/hate relationship with Dermaceutic Activ Retinol. The research is behind Retinol as an anti-ageing product that WORKS (the BBC reported a few years ago that Retinol is effective to prevent skin ageing)...but I had to work up to the 1.0 strength because my skin flaked when I used it at first. I would recommend the 0.5 strength to start; or even alternating with Reservatrol (a Skinceutical product). The flakes are actually a good sign; my skin is sloughing off to reveal new skin cells underneath. But I found the perfect balance with alternating this one every other night.”

“I was recommended by my dermatologist and I must say it has worked wonders on my skin .. initially you use it 2 times per week and gradually build up and it will give you some flakiness but that’s your dead skin coming off and you get a glowing effect and beautiful texture and it has reduced dark spots on my face too.”
